Home to the world's most significant collection of historic surfboards and ocean artifacts, SHACC required emergency egress lighting that honored its warm, handcrafted exhibition design. Rather than standard commercial hardware, Flamsted of Vermont fixtures were selected to complement the gallery's exposed timber framework, bronze sculptures, and vintage aesthetic.

Our Story
The concept of Flamsted came about in 2023 while restoring a historic synagogue in Vermont. We were faced with the challenge of finding period accurate exit signs that met current code. We discovered that you could have any style you wanted as long as it was a white or black box. Thus the idea was born to create a range of Exit signs with design appeal.
